The Stardom Youth Foundation was created by Caymaian Island supermodel, Selita Ebanks in 2004.
The purpose of this foundation is to provide a mentoring program for give teenagers career guidance.

Founder and Visionary of the Stardom Youth Foundation, which provides mentoring and guidance for teens in Georgetown, Cayman Islands, which she started to help young Caymanians reach their potential in a wide range of endeavors.

In an interview with Selita Ebanks she said: “I truly see the Stardom Youth Foundation as catering to children ages six to 18 within an afternoon program. The program seeks to let the children do what they love to do and to discover interests they never knew they had. For some children it may be cooking, singing, or acting. Still others may choose working on their athletic skills in soccer or basketball. The goal is simply to reach out to children who may not have the resources to pay for an after-school program”.

Her deepest hope is that this program serves as a prevention and motivation program that allows for the youth of Cayman to develop interests to nurture them and ultimately keep them off the streets.

“There is no doubt about it that it takes a village to raise a child and SYF will seek to lend a hand in that effort, ” she added.

SYF is currently entering talks with government to see if the two entities can work to the benefit of each other.
